Throughout my time at university in Southampton where I studied Popular Music Journalism, I wrote for a number of different publications, such as Noise Cannon, Audio Addict and Electric Banana, contributing features, reviews and interviewing musicians. After graduating in 2016, I wanted to create a space where I could showcase my portfolio of work, and decided to create this website. As well as including my articles about music and other popular culture, this site also features my dissertation, events that I have promoted, some photography and video work, and appearances on podcasts.
Since then, I’ve continued to write about music in my spare time, and have used this site to create new posts, sharing articles on new bands that I’m enjoying, writing reviews, and exploring different music scenes.
As well as writing and other adventures, I’ve also worked in a variety of different areas within the music and entertainment industry. In the past, I’ve worked at events and festivals, such as All Points East in London, Mad Cool Festival in Madrid, and Dimensions & Outlook in Croatia, and worked in marketing departments at The O2 Arena (AEG) and Kilimanjaro Live.
When I’m not doing any of that, I love going to gigs, listening to music, watching films and TV, and reading. I’m also a big sports fan, following football, cricket, MMA and boxing, amongst others.
